Two things:

I had a very detailed dream about seducing and then engaging in polyamory negotiations with Natalie Portman last night. She, to my surprise, had a nipple ring, so. Thanks, subconscious, for that.
I read a Victorian erotica novel from 1905 today (the one that shows up on Project Gutenberg's Top 100 Downloads, if you find yourself in need). It was *insane*, and writing at the level of kinky-you-hesitate-to-send. Not a recommendation (like...really, not a recommendation), but wow, WOW, wow. Wow, an experience. I guess I knew the Victorians Did Stuff but I, as usual, underestimated them. Good research for the 1915 fic, though.

both of these things are amazing, although in somewhat different ways, haha.

Regarding #2: This link is EXTREMELY NSFW but is hysterical. RIP "Those Naughty Victorians", one of my favourite tumblr blogs, which documented Victorian erotica and made me laugh hysterically.

OH MY. Oh my. What an exciting era of pornography, this is amazing thank you. On that archive link I *love* the ~desert themed one but also the swings?? I have SO MANY questions for the entire society.

When I learned many many Victorians had nipple rings for the Sexy Aesthetique it changed my opinion of the entire society. I love these historical people.

"Dr Watson has nipple rings" is a fic that has been on my to-write list for a long time. Bless the quirks of Victoriana.

Those are both utterly delightful things! I'd suspect the second of influencing the first, but that's the incorrect order of event.

You would think! My internal monologue during the dream was 50% "wow you're VERY attractive irl" and 50% "do not reference the SNL skit don't do it don't do it"

*shrugs* and here I am, preparing to enter the dreamscape once more with a great deal more Victorian lingo, so god only knows what will happen.

That sounds like a very strange internal monologue, if only for how different those threads of thought are.
